Detect surface defects on the gold needle. The defects must be clearly visible and distinct from the background. The actual product is shown in the following picture.

Detection analysis:

Detection features: Check if the coating is complete and if the needle body is skewed.

Detection difficulties: The product is small, the defects are not visible to the naked eye, and the product is a cylinder, making it difficult to achieve uniform polishing.

Polishing strategy:

Since the shape of this product is a cylinder, during the testing, a light source that can achieve uniform polishing and highlight the effect should be selected. By adjusting the height and angle of the light source, the defect and the inspected surface can be distinguished clearly, achieving the polishing effect.

This light source uses special light guiding materials to ensure uniform and perpendicular illumination, which can better focus the light on the desired defect area. When the light beam is exposure to the product surface， it will form a uniform light spot， while the defect area will form a dark spot， and it will be clearly distinguishable from the background， thus enabling the detection of the location of the defect and achieving the polishing effect.

1. Locate the detection position through contour matching

2. Use defect detection to identify the location of the defect
